Lean Management - May 8, 2009
Jerry Kelly with Image Works will lead us through Lean Management. He uses modules that are a part of the internal training program that was developed for Image Works, Inc. The modules offered will be from the Stabilize Stage, and include Lean Vision; Waste: The basics of Lean; 5S: Workplace Organization; and Buffer and Safety Stock. The next two stages, Flow and Sustain, will be touched on with modules on Standard Work; Kanban: Pulling work through the Process; Heijunka: Sequential Planning; and Kaizen: Ongoing Events for the Elimination of Waste. Participants will engage in hands on activities and see how these tools and others apply in a medium size sign factory.
